Although ordered not to participate in the Delphinion Duchy rescue mission, due to his younger sister being one of the involved, Ayase Kazuki went againsts the wishes of the Federation Head, Tsuji Yuki, and successfully rescued her. Kazuki later revealed that this however came at the cost of him getting on the bad side of the Federation Head who had proceeded to ostracize him by transferring half the members of Umi Tsubame to form a seperate elite team.
During discussions regarding the Banquet, Kazuki came to request a cooperation with Carpe Diem. The Federation Head had also requested that Jang Maldong use his Mystic Acupuncture technique on the skilled Archer, Sakamoto Jun, they would be sending to help participate in the Banquet but was declined and told Kazuki to deliver stern warning to the Head to never mention even the word before him again.
